Religion and Spirituality

Religion

Religion is a system of beliefs, practices, and values. It provides language and community to guide the spiritual journey. It can also give us an understanding of the divine. It can give us hope. And in times of uncertainty, religion provides stability. Religion can help us understand the meaning of our lives. Whether it is a traditional faith or a modern one, religion can be a source of meaning and comfort.

Religion is a manifestation of the nature of God and a reflection of man’s nature. While many people associate religion with a particular belief system, true spirituality is found within one’s self and is best experienced by accepting and loving people. The true meaning of religion is not found within a church, but in one’s own self.

Faith is the process of connecting experiences and events to form a larger meaning. It is about the discovery of a center of value that is beyond rational human knowing. It is an exploration of what makes life meaningful. It is the process of making sense of the world, and discovering the connections that connect us to it. Faith helps us find meaning in our lives and discover why we exist.
